Haley & Sam

Haley and Sam got married in San Miguel de Allende in March 2026, with about seventy of their favorite people gathered in the garden. SMA is a city that does a lot of the work for you. The light, the stone walls, the bougainvillea, the long blue dusks. Dani and I spent the day moving through it with them, while the rest of their weekend in town carried on around the celebration.
The ceremony happened in the garden in the late afternoon, with papel picado strung between the trees and the kind of light that makes San Miguel famous coming in low and warm through the leaves. Cocktails moved to the pool right after, family and friends spilling across the terrace with mezcal in their hands. By dinner the table was set under the papel picado in the same garden, candles down the middle, the conversation getting louder and more honest as the night went on. I shot a mix of digital and 35mm film, and Dani layered in Super 8 through the toasts and the dancing.
