Barefoot celebrations on Mexico’s Pacific coast, documented on 35mm film & digital + Super 8. For couples who want something honest, unfiltered, and fully their own.
Barefoot meets beautiful.
Sayulita is a place where weddings feel less like events and more like experiences. A small surf town on Mexico’s Pacific coast, known for its color, its energy, and its rhythm.
There are no grand ballrooms here, no rigid timelines, just the beach, the town, and the people you chose to be there.
We’ve documented weddings at Villa Amor, Teitiare Estate, Frente al Punto, Don Pedro’s, and beyond. And no two have ever felt the same.
That’s the magic of Sayulita. Every place, every couple, every day moves differently. Our role is simply to be present and follow it.
35MM ANALOG FILM
On film, Sayulita glows.
Every collection includes 35mm analog film, and Sayulita is one of the places where it truly comes alive.
The light here stays warm and golden for most of the day, and it responds to film in a way that feels effortless. The color of the town, the painted walls, the tropical greens, the deep blue of the ocean, all of it translates with a richness that never feels forced.
Nothing is oversaturated, nothing is filtered. Just Sayulita, exactly as it is.
We photograph your day on both film and digital, so you get the intention and depth of analog alongside the flexibility of digital. Nothing is missed. Everything is felt.
DOCUMENTARY STYLE
Nobody here is performing for the camera.
Sayulita's bohemian energy is a natural fit for documentary wedding photography. No one is posing or waiting for direction, they’re dancing in the sand, eating tacos at midnight, and fully living the moment. That kind of uninhibited energy is exactly what we’re drawn to capture.
The town itself becomes part of the story. Colorful buildings, cobblestone streets, string lights over the plaza, the sound of the ocean just a block away, every frame feels unmistakably like Sayulita.
And on 35mm film, the warm Pacific light and vibrant tones come through with a depth and movement that feels alive.
VENUES WE KNOW & LOVE
Six venues. Six completely different versions of Sayulita.
Sayulita doesn’t follow a single aesthetic and neither do its weddings.
We’ve documented celebrations across the town, and each place carries its own atmosphere, its own rhythm. These are a few that have stayed with us.
Villa Valentin
Lush tropical gardens, candlelight, and an intimate, layered atmosphere.
Villa Amor
Clifftop views over the bay, with light that shifts beautifully into golden hour.
Teitiare Estate
Open-air spaces overlooking the Pacific, with a clean, expansive feel.
Frente al Punto
Right on the beach, relaxed, barefoot, and effortlessly unpolished.
Palapa Don Pedro's
A Sayulita classic, where the beach and the town come together.
One&Only Mandarina
Jungle villas suspended between mountains and ocean. Dramatic, private, and immersive.

SUPER 8 FILM VIDEO
Super 8 feels like Sayulita.
The colors, the movement, the golden Pacific light captured on Super 8 film, Sayulita feels completely different. Motion picture film doesn’t just record a wedding; it translates the warmth, energy, and rhythm of the day in a way digital video rarely can.
When you include Super 8 in your package, we document your celebration in two formats simultaneously: photography and motion picture film, perfectly in sync. Two formats. One seamless team. Nothing missed. Everything felt.
He made us feel super comfortable the whole time and has such a great eye for the little in-between moments. The photos and film turned out absolutely stunning and captured our relationship so beautifully.

FAQ
Common questions about Sayulita wedding photography
-
Sayulita is one of the most naturally cinematic places in Mexico. The town itself becomes part of the story: cobblestone streets, string lights, the ocean a few steps away. There is always something real happening around you, and that is exactly what documentary photography is built to capture.
-
The dry season, from November through April, is the most popular time for Sayulita weddings. November and December offer ideal temperatures and consistent golden hour light. If you are open to the rainy season, June through October brings lush greenery and dramatic skies that photograph beautifully, often with empty beaches in the early morning.
-
Yes, always. Every collection includes 35mm analog film alongside digital coverage. Sayulita has some of the most beautiful Pacific light in Mexico, warm and directional for most of the day, and film responds to it in a way that feels effortless. The color, the texture, the warmth of the town all translate with a richness that is difficult to replicate digitally.
-
We recommend reaching out 12 to 18 months before your date, especially if you are planning a dry season wedding. The earlier you reach out, the more time we have to get to know you and plan together. That said, we occasionally have availability for closer dates, so it is always worth asking.
