Olivia & Mickey

Olivia and Mickey got married at Frente al Punto in March 2023, with thirty people who had come to Sayulita for them. Thirty is a good number for this venue. Enough people to fill the space with warmth, few enough that everyone ends up in the same conversation by the end of the night. Dani and I spent the day with them, working quietly through the hours as the light moved across the water.
The ceremony happened barefoot on the sand in the late afternoon, the Pacific right there at the edge of everything. Olivia and Mickey had written their own vows, the kind that make the people in the front row cry before the couple does. Dinner settled into the open air space after, candles down the middle of the tables and the breeze off the water keeping the night comfortable. The conversation stayed close and unhurried the way it does when the guest list is small enough that nobody is a stranger. I shot the whole day on digital, following the light from ceremony through the last hours of dinner.
