Savanna & Clay

An Intimate Wedding at Villa Amor, Sayulita

How it unfolded.

Savanna and Clay got married at Villa Amor in March 2025, with thirty people gathered on the terrace above Sayulita. Villa Amor sits up on the cliff with the town below and the Pacific opening out in front, and in March the light comes in at exactly the angle that makes that view work hardest. Dani and I spent the day with them, moving between the terrace and the spaces around it, letting the day find its own pace.
The ceremony happened on the terrace in the late afternoon, with the rooftops of Sayulita and the bay behind Savanna and Clay and thirty people who had traveled to be exactly there. The dinner that followed stayed intimate the way thirty people can, close enough that the toasts landed on everyone at once and the conversation never split into separate rooms. It was the kind of evening where the venue does half the work and the people do the rest. I photographed the whole day on digital, and alongside the photos we put together a digital video that moves through the day the way memory does, not chronologically but by feeling.
If you are planning a destination wedding in Sayulita, Villa Amor is one of those venues that rewards a smaller guest count. The terrace, the view, the town below: it all works best when the day is allowed to be quiet enough to actually feel it. Reach out anytime to talk about your own Sayulita wedding with us.
