An Intimate Elopement at Villa Amor, Sayulita

How it unfolded.

Clea and Seamus got married at Villa Amor in Sayulita in August 2023, in the kind of small, slow elopement that suits the town. Sayulita has a way of setting the pace for the people who choose it. Bare feet, salt in the air, a little sand in everything, and an unhurried sense of the day that is hard to find in bigger venues. Dani and I spent the morning and afternoon with them, starting from getting ready and staying through the ceremony.
The morning was quiet. Clea got ready in one of the open rooms above the cliff, with the Pacific framed in every doorway and the breeze coming off the bay. Seamus paced a little, the way grooms do. By late afternoon they had walked down to the sand for the ceremony, barefoot, with the surf right there behind them. The vows were short and personal. The two of them held onto each other for a long minute afterward, the way people do when they have actually been waiting for that moment for years. I shot on digital while Dani covered the day from a second angle.
If you are planning an elopement or intimate wedding in Sayulita, or thinking about Villa Amor as your venue, this is exactly the kind of day we love photographing most. Small, slow, full of real moments and not many for the camera. Reach out anytime to talk about your own Sayulita wedding or elopement with us.

"So happy with the photos, and so grateful for how great you were to communicate with before, during, and after the day."
