A Barefoot Wedding at Casa Villa del Sol, Sayulita

How it unfolded.

Gabi and Steven came to Villa del Sol in May 2024 for a small, unhurried wedding in Sayulita. Ten people, barefoot on the sand, the Pacific doing what it does in the late afternoon on this part of the coast. Dani and I spent the day with them, close enough to catch the moments and far enough back to let them breathe.
The ceremony happened on the beach, the kind of short and personal one that leaves room for everything else. Steven had clearly been thinking about what he wanted to say. By the time they walked back up for dinner the light had softened completely and the table was set for the people who had actually made the trip. Ten people around one table feels different from sixty. Everyone is close enough to hear everyone else, and the night stays small and honest because of it. I shot on digital, and Dani layered in Super 8 through the quietest parts of the evening.
If you are planning an elopement or intimate wedding in Sayulita, Casa Villa del Sol is one of those venues that rewards a small guest count. The space works best when the day is allowed to move slowly, which is exactly how we like to photograph. Reach out anytime to talk about your own Sayulita wedding with us.

"The images and Super 8 video turned out stunning. I gave Alex full creative control as I trusted his eye. He hit the ball out of the park."
